  • MSc in Brewing Science from Birmingham University. UK. - formally the British School of Malting and Brewing Science
  • M. Brew – Master Brewer qualification from the Institute of Brewing
  • FIBD – Fellow of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling

Key Experience:

  • Eight years as Head Brewer of Boddingtons Brewery Manchester (UK)
  • Four Years Stella Artois Brewmaster (UK)
  • One year study at Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan (Bavarian Brewing School)
  • Institute of Brewing and Distilling examiner (Master Brewer exam)
  • Extensive experience in small, medium and large ale and lager breweries brewing both processed and cask beer
  • Brand development and flavour matching
  • Recipe development - ales, lagers, speciality beers
  • International Beer Competition judging, including: World Beer Cup, Brewing Industry International Awards and the Great American Beer Festival
  • Franchise/contract brewing, brewery management, marketing liaison
